CIBUS CONNECTING ITALY CLOSED TODAY WITH OVER 20,000 VISITORS AND 1500 TOP FOREIGN BUYERS
Cibus Connecting Italy, the two-day Italian agri-food exhibition, closed today with very positive exhibitor and visitor figures, which reflect the vitality and creativity of a sector that has survived the pandemic period unscathed and that is identifying the best strategies for addressing the problems arising from inflation. Over 20,000 operators visited the stands of the Italian food companies.

WEDNESDAY 29 SEES THE DOORS OPEN IN PARMA TO CIBUS CONNECTING ITALY
The Cibus Connecting Italy international food fair opens on Wednesday for two days (29 & 30 March) at Fiere di Parma. Expecting to accommodate 20 thousand operators from all over the world, this year’s international food fair will showcase around a thousand agri-food brands across four special areas: fresh fruit and vegetables; functional plant-based ingredients; nutraceuticals and sports supplements; and ingredients and technological solutions for ice cream and patisserie.

“CIBUS INNOVATION CORNER”, AN EXCLUSIVE SHOWCASE FOR NEW PRODUCTS AT CIBUS CONNECTING ITALY
The fair is presenting a catalogue of over 500 innovation-based products. 100 of these will be on show on 29 and 30 March, in Pavilion 4 of the Fiere di Parma trade fair. The products in the catalogue of new entries for this Cibus see a variety of claims with health-food trends, heightened awareness of sustainability and new packs are taking centre stage. At the same time, the trend in showcasing locally-sourced flavours which place the accent on all-Italian territories, traditions and flavours is showing no sign of abating.

STRATEGIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN FIERE DI PARMA AND FIERA MILANO
Following the favourable decisions taken firstly on March 7 by the General Meeting of Fiere di Parma, and later on March 9 by the Board of Directors of Fiera Milano, the agreement between the two companies was finally signed for a harmonised management of their events dedicated to the agri-food sector, namely Cibus and Tuttofood.

CIBUS IN SEPTEMBER: THE RESTART OF ITALIAN FOOD&BEVERAGE
Cibus will be the first major Italian agri-food exhibition to reopen its doors after the closure caused by the pandemic emergency. It will take place in the first week of September, from Tuesday, August 31 to Friday, September 3 and is, as always, organized by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare. Cibus will, of course, follow the safety protocols set forth by the Italian Government and the health authorities.
