Ho.Re.Ca THE HUB

In Hall 6 you will find the Hub of reference of Food Service operators offering innovation and business opportunities to the national and international Food Community. An entertainment and exhibition space entirely dedicated to the world of out-of-home consumption that hosts companies, buyers, distributors and wholesalers thanks to the network of Dolcitalia (partner of the event) and related incoming activities.

The area will be livened up by a series of highly experiential cooking shows by Cooperativa Italiana Catering (CIC). Not only gastronomic and sensory experience: CIC brings to the fair its ambitious mission of promoting, through educational activities, few, clear principles for healthy cooking and high quality in restaurant and catering services, which are fully representative of Italy. The Italian Food Service sector is now being called upon to raise the bar, working to overcome the dynamic of price/product/volume discounting and the ethical and responsibility challenges posed by current times, such as the search for quality starting from raw materials, the fight against food waste through greater attention to yield and dosage, the sustainability of packaging, and the transfer of value and knowledge at all levels of the supply chain.

Cibus23-Horeca-The-Hub

Cibus and the Development of the Ho.Re.Ca Channel

Cibus has enhanced the relationships with professionals and operators from the food service and Ho.Re.Ca sectors over time to provide new business development opportunities and new target markets for companies of the Italian food and agriculture industry.

Since 2021, Cibus dedicates a specific exhibition and networking area thereto, where key players in the impulse, snacks and food service sectors exhibit. In partnership with Dolcitalia.

The area is designed by architect Simone Micheli, who describes it as follows:

Horeca The Hub

“The bar-restaurant I created for Cibus Connecting Italy 2023 is intended to express a concept of altering and overcoming the expressive and content stereotypes that characterize food and beverage. The apparently improbable images of vegetables, designed under my instructions by the skilled students of the NID design institute of Perugia, give ‘other’ visual dignity to the exhibition space. They encourage unconscious reflection on the theme of naturalness. They highlight the importance, today more than ever, to think about horizons of sustainability and horizons of truth to qualify human life. They foreground the importance of overturning known roles and values to trigger new successful commercial battles. In fact, precisely because of its very nature as an international food fair, Cibus is now a crucial occasion for the entire Italian production chain to discuss the industry’s hottest and most sensitive issues. “Horeca The Hub” does not shy away from this debate and, indeed, fuels it in an unconventional and, in some ways, visionary form.”
